Overview of Havelock Island:

Heaven or Paradise isn’t just a concept – it’s a real place called Havelock Island in the Andamans. Recently renamed Swaraj Dweep, this gem of the Bay of Bengal has been stealing hearts with its beaches, underwater world, and still waters. When planning your Andaman tour package, this island should be at the top of your list. During World War II, the Japanese briefly occupied Havelock, leaving behind bunkers that you can still spot today! The island got its original name from British general Sir Henry Havelock, but its true charm lies in its unreal beauty. What’s fascinating is that the indigenous Andamanese never settled here permanently, viewing it more as a seasonal hunting ground. Today, it’s home to about 6,000 people, mainly settlers from Bangladesh, Bengal, and Tamil Nadu who arrived post-independence.

What are the Key Highlights of Havelock Island:

  • Radhanagar Beach Magic: Asia’s best beach by Time Magazine, Radhanagar Beach’s white sand offers sunset views that’ll make you feel amazed. Perfect for your Instagram feed and soul.
