Located at a height of 14,500 feet in Spiti Valley, Langza Village is often called the Fossil Village of India. This small hamlet, with just about 150 people, looks like a painting that comes to life with its rugged meadows, peaks, and the massive Buddha statue watching over the village. The huge statue has the background of the Pin Valley making it one of the most photographed spots in Spiti.

Langza is included in all Spiti Valley Packages and offers something truly unique. This village sits on what was once an ancient seabed, making it a really important marine fossil dating back millions of years. Kids and adults alike can be seen hunting for these ancient remains scattered across the village grounds. The locals here are mainly farmers who grow green peas and barley, and they’re known for their warm hospitality. The mud houses with their traditional architecture and the simple way of life make Langza a perfect escape from city life.
