Overview of Sigiriya:

Sigiriya, the “Lion Rock,” is one of Sri Lanka’s most amazing sights. This massive rock fortress rises 200 meters straight up from the ground and has a really interesting story behind it. Back in the 5th century, King Kashyapa built his palace on top of this rock after taking the throne from his father – he actually walled his father alive!
