Lovina is a favorite for travelers seeking a peaceful getaway. Whether you’re here for dolphin watching, diving adventures, or simply to relax, Lovina Beach promises an unforgettable experience.
Lovina Beach located in North Bali is where the pace of life slows down beautifully. Unlike the busy beaches in South Bali, this long stretch of black sand coastline feels like entering into an old-school Bali, where everything is calm and peaceful. One thing that makes this place super special is its family of dolphins! Yes, you read that right – hundreds of dolphins call these waters home. Many Bali tour packages focus on the south, but this hidden gem in the north offers something totally different. The story goes that this beach got its name when a king combined the words ‘Love’ and ‘Indonesia’.
Before becoming a quiet tourist spot, Lovina was actually an important trading port where ships from all over Indonesia would stop. Today, those trading boats have been replaced by traditional fishing boats and dolphin-watching tours!
Beach access is free. Dolphin-watching tours cost between 100,000-150,000 IDR (₹500-750) per person. The best time to visit is between April and October. Dolphin tours start super early (around 6 AM), but it’s totally worth the early wake-up call!
