Beautifully located in Kerala’s Western Ghats, Eravikulam National Park is one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries and National Parks of Southern India. A part of UNESCO’s Western Ghats World Heritage site. This park is a favourite among nature lovers, photographers, and anyone exploring Kerala tour packages. Spanning over 97 square kilometres, this park is famous for housing the endangered rare Nilgiri Tahr, a unique species of mountain goat.

What makes it particularly fascinating is its role in preserving the highly seasonal Neelakurinji flowers, which bloom once every 12 years, and when it does, it just makes the surrounding hills even more mesmerizing. Historically, the area served as a significant hunting reserve for British planters during colonial times before being declared a sanctuary in 1978. The misty hills, rare flora and fauna, and peace make it a must-visit destination for travellers looking for an extraordinary experience in Kerala.
