Following breakfast, head to Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep) by either Makruzz or ferry. Finally, check out the celebrated Natural Bridge, a special rock formation made by living corals over thousands of years. At four o’clock, jump on a ferry for the night in Port Blair.
After eating breakfast, venture out on a daylong sightseeing excursion that initiates at Chatham Saw Mill, one of the most extensive and oldest sawmills in Asia. Don’t miss the opportunity to see handicrafts and displays made from local woods, including Gurjan and Padauk, at the Cottage Industries Emporium and Forest Museum. Head to Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep) afterward, which was once the administrative center of the British in the Andamans. Explore what remains of previous British architecture including the Ballroom, Chief Commissioner’s House, and Government House, which reveal aspects of our colonial history.
